THE GLASSLIGHT FARMHOUSE

This home stands out for us as a twist on the modern farmhouse. The house is built around the central courtyard to create outdoor privacy in an urban area. To modernize the farmhouse idea, we used color and large industrial-style windows that unite the indoor and outdoor into one living space. We designed entrance columns to match the rhythm of trees that line the entryway—demonstrating how traditional styles can be thoughtfully reinterpreted into one-of-a-kind homes that respond uniquely to their environment.
