Tom Russell

Growing up in a small town in the Adirondack Mountains, Tom was raised with an appreciation for natural beauty. Also from a family of builders, he learned to appreciate how construction from indigenous materials contributes to the aesthetic and quality of a project. Beginning his education in engineering in the East, Tom was pulled West to the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. Throughout his schooling and for a decade following, Tom worked in construction, building custom luxury homes throughout the state.

Seeking new challenges, Tom moved to Salt Lake City to continue his education, earning his Master’s of Architecture degree from the University of Utah. Since, Tom has worked on several notable projects including; the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the Utah Capitol renovation, the Marriott Library, and more, uniquely bringing his building experience into his design. When Tom isn’t working, he can be found skiing in the Schweitzer backcountry or out on the lake sailing, paddle boarding, and waterskiing.
