THE LONGVIEW

The challenge with this home was building a spacious home on a small site with steep terrain. The home pivots so as to experience the view from each room. This design took a understated approach to mountain traditional style to highlight the location. Natural, locally inspired materials—natural stone, wood, and textured metal— were used to help the home blend seamlessly into the mountainside, allowing it to sit quietly within the landscape.
