Art, Structure & The Digital Era

Boden Architecture has a long history of crafting designs that purposefully express distinctive structural elements.   In both traditional and contemporary forms, there is an honesty that can only be expressed through the use of exposed structural art-forms.  These elements breath life and alertness to the dwelling in a way that “faux” and veneer finishes regularly fail to accomplish.

Collaborating as an Architecture and Engineering Group, Boden Architecture and DGT Engineering have crafted a synergetic design environment that has produced many signature pieces.   This exclusive design team is passionate about ensuring that structural design solutions do not compromise elements of the art-form.

This A&E Group will continue to exploit the power of ArchiCAD by creating sophisticated digital prototypes and models that allow designers to regularly reference “design-intent” during analysis to ensure that spatial awareness, light exposures and massing forms are not compromised.

For this group in particular, BIM (Building Information Technology) has allowed designers, builders and project managers to collaborate in such a way that Architectural and Structural solutions are addressed simultaneously to ensure compatibility.  This exciting era allows designers to output Architectural and Structural Drawings and Specifications from the same native file–creating efficient work-flows that are focused on art.
